about

Recorded during an unemployed period in my life, this album features songs about girls, philosophical thoughts, more girls, and other philosophical thoughts. I was 25 years old and I'd grown my hair out. Musicians have done worse.

It's the fourth "collection" of "songs" I'd ever assembled, it's the second time I'd attempted to make the grouping of tunes work together, but it's the FIRST actual "album" album I could respectably refer to as an Album, by the standards I've grown to appreciate the concept.

Perhaps I didn't yet own a decent vocal mic, and perhaps my mixing/mastering abilities were limited due to undeveloped technology and experience—and, sure, my substantial lack of vocal training or discipline is not debatable—but I don't think these tracks are wholly unlistenable. The three earlier "albums" to this one, however, can reasonably be said not to sound all that pleasing. It's all relative.

about

Brimaxian (Brian M. Weidemann) Santa Ana, California

A persistently versatile mix of guitars, keys, synth strings, and more, in the rock, acoustic, and alternative genres. Dense, poetic wordplay sung by a semi-amateur baritone. Wry wit, hot guitar licks, and the occasional augmented sixth chord.
